Are cystal/clear braces better than ceramic or metal ones for fixing teeth?

I had undergone orthodontic treatment recently but was not very satisfied with the results and need a few more minor adjustments as it has affected the structure of my face. Consulted an orthodontist who owns a designer clinic and he recommended going in for cystal braces. He also stated that crystal braces are the best for adjusting teeth...somehow I don't agree with this guy and I feel like he's only trying to fleece me as they are really costly(The costliest in fact) and I don't feel like shelling out so much cash. Well I am contemplating going in for the ceramic ones as they fit my budget.
