Are evangelicals trying to hide the Loving heavenly Father that Jesus was preaching?

The gospel is about the love of Jesus, and the prodigl son story reveals the heart of Gods love for us, that even when we go astray, he still loves us. Jesus was God in human flesh. He came down from heaven to teach us truth, die on the cross for our sins, and to defeat sin and hell and the devil. He is Lord of all and all who put their faith in him and repent of their sins have forgivenes and eternal life. He is the only way.
