Is it possible to lose weight by just eating a bit healthier with smaller portions, and walking a bit more?

Yes of course. But, you should know, that you will eventually reach a plateau point and will have to change your fitness regimen...like adding intervals of jogging for 5 minutes then walking for 5min and continuing to switch off for half an hour. Just don't resort to extreme forms of weight loss.
