How do u get "beachy waves" in your hair?

my hair is really really puffy and frizzy when i scrunch it it jsut puffs back up and doesnt look good at all my natural hair is like an afro.. i really want to get that beachy waves look in my hair but i dont want it to be something really involved i want it to be easy and quick to do is there anything i can do to make my hari look like that.. because in the summer i dont wnat to strighten it all summer cause that takes 3 hours to do on my hair and ill be in and out in the pool a lot so.. and i can't get my hair permananty strightened becuase it wont last on my hair and will ruin it.. so how can i get that beachy waves look?? thank you!
